DESCRIPTION: | An unidentified employee of Cartozian & Sons Rug Company has hung an oriental rug to help it retain its original shape during the cleaning process. Cartozian & Sons had moved to 3320 South "G" St., the former home of Bye Thompson Motors, in July of 1947. The firm claimed the "lowest prevailing prices" in rug cleaning at $5.40 for domestics and $8.64 for orientals for 9 x 12 rugs cleaned and sized. Free estimates and free pickup and delivery were offered. Cartozian Fine Carpets & Rugs is still at this address. Photograph ordered by Edward S. Cartozian. (T.Times ad 7-21-47, p. 7) |
